Directions
Combine all except water in a large, heavy saucepan. Pour the water into the catsup bottle and shake then add to the pot. Bring to a boil stirring constantly, reduce heat and simmer until onions and bell pepper are very tender, about 2 hours. Stir occasionally.
Ingredients
- 1 32 ounce bottle catsup
- 1 cup dark molasses
- 1 1/2 tbsp or to taste tabasco sauce
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 mediun green bell pepper
- finely minced
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 1/2 tbsp dry mustard
- 3 tbsp white vinegar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp liquid smoke
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
