Instant Hot Chocolate Mix Recipe

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Store in tightly covered container. To serve: Fill a cup about 1/2 full of mix. Add hot water. OR add cold water and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes.

- 22 oz Non-dairy creamer powder
- 32 oz Nonfat dry milk powder
- 1 1/2 lb Dry chocolate mix
- 1/4 c Powdered sugar (opt)

A simpler solution is a 50/50 mix of instant cocoa powder, such as Nestlé Nesquick, and non-dairy creamer powder. Nesquick is already sweetened. Two level tablespoons of each in 6 ounces (178 ml) of boiling water is equivalent to an envelope of Swiss Miss or similar hot cocoa mix. Adjust ratios and quantities as desired for richer or thinner cocoa. The beverage can be prepared from the two ingredients as needed, one mug at a time, instead of having to store large amounts of a pre-mixed powder.
