Rhubarb Bars Recipe

Mix and cook until thick: 1 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. water Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Mix until crumbly: 1 1/2 c. flour 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. soda 1 c. soft butter or margarine 1/2 c. chopped walnuts Pat about 2/3 of crumb mixture in 9"x13" pan. Pour over the rhubarb mixture. Top with remaining crumbs. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 375 degrees.
